Daytona Soccer Academy is seeking interns for DSA WFC Sport Management Intern.

The Daytona Beach Semi-Professional Women’s Soccer team (DSA WFC) is currently offering an internship opportunity that would be a great fit for those interested in Sports Management. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to experience and assist with managing every aspect of a Semi-Professional team. DSA has invested heavily in its leadership of this team. Everyone you will be interacting with has played and coached professional soccer in the United States as well as internationally. As a member of the management team, you will receive team gear along with other team benefits.

The Women’s team is scheduled to play in the Summer of 2017. The internship will end at the end of July.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

The internship is unpaid but we are willing to fill out the necessary documents to allow the internship to count as class credit.

General Responsibilities:

• Assist with obtaining Sponsorships for the team
• Partner with the Director of Coaching on interviews
• Assist the Director of Coaching with the management of both the Media Officer and the Player Liaison Officer.
• Communicate with players on schedules for games and practices
• Organize travel, meals and accommodations for the team’s 1 (one) road trip

Field Focused Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Director of Coaching on organizing 4 (four) home games
• Develop a marketing plan to advertise games
• Partner with local youth clubs for ball boys/girls for the games
• Audition National Anthem Performers
• Act as the liaison for the visiting team

Requirements:

• Must be 18 yrs of age or older
• Must be able to work 2- 4 days a week
• Must be able to work weekend evenings, as this is when games are played
• All applicants are subject to a background check
• Must have a cell phone
• Must have access to email
• Must have basic understanding of marketing and promotions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
